Every two years, UBUNTU visits just a handful of communities in Victoria, NSW, ACT and Qld. We carefully select Area Hosts who share our passion for building stronger communities through music and cultural exchange.
These local champions are the heart of every tour. Quite simply, without them, the tour couldn't happen.
As an Area Host, you'll coordinate the local experience - bringing together venues, host families and community partners. Our Tour Coordinator provides guidance every step of the way, while you create a warm, welcoming experience your community will never forget.

One of the most rewarding parts of being an Area Host is connecting local families with the UBUNTU team.
For one or two nights, families welcome two to four performers into their homes, sharing meals, stories and everyday life. These genuine cultural exchanges often become the highlight of the tour, creating lifelong friendships and memories for everyone involved.
As the Area Host, you'll help coordinate willing host families, while we provide the guidance and support to make the process simple and rewarding.

Local choirs don't just watch UBUNTU perform.
They rehearse beforehand, perform as the support act and then return to the stage to join UBUNTU in a spectacular finale.
