Amanda’s Story – From Shy Village Girl to Global Scholar
"I am Amanda Rachael Ainengonzi. I grew up in a Ugandan village, raised by my grandmother after losing my parents and two siblings to HIV/AIDS. We had very little, and I often watched other children head to school while I stayed behind, hungry and full of dreams."

"At six, everything changed. I was chosen to join the African Children’s Choir. I toured the world, met people who believed in me, and received a full scholarship for my education — and the confidence to dream bigger.
After graduating, I earned a rare traineeship with the European Union in Uganda, and was later awarded a fully funded Master’s scholarship to study in Germany, France, Portugal, and at Sciences Po."
"Today, I am part of global conversations on child welfare and poverty reduction, working with institutions like the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative."
Amanda's journey is proof that sponsorship does more than educate — it transforms lives and futures
