Tour and Program Participation

 

• Participation in KwaYa international journeys, tours and programs is by application and selection.

• Submitting an Expression of Interest, application or registration does not guarantee acceptance or create an entitlement to participate. KwaYa assesses applicants based on their suitability for the particular journey, program and group.

• Selection is based not only on an individual's ability to undertake the journey, but also on their suitability to participate as a member of a close, cooperative and culturally sensitive team.​

​

• Acceptance is conditional upon ongoing suitability. Circumstances arising after acceptance may cause KwaYa to reassess a participant's suitability where those circumstances materially affect trust and cooperation, group cohesion, safety or wellbeing, compliance with reasonable directions, or KwaYa's relationships with its overseas partners and communities.

• Where KwaYa reasonably determines that a participant is no longer suitable for a journey or program, KwaYa may withdraw that person's invitation to participate in accordance with the applicable Participant Terms & Conditions.

• Participants will be given a reasonable opportunity to respond to concerns before a final decision is made, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary because of safety, serious misconduct or another urgent circumstance.

​

• A disagreement with KwaYa, criticism of KwaYa, or the raising of a genuine concern or complaint will not, by itself, constitute grounds for determining that a participant is unsuitable.

• Participation is also subject to the specific Participant Terms & Conditions, Code of Conduct and any other requirements issued for the relevant journey or program.
