African Children’s Choir Edible School Garden project

In December 2018, Morag Gamble of the Permaculture Education Institute is travelling to Uganda to volunteer with school gardens, permaculture teacher programs and women’s self help groups.
They will be visiting the African Children’s Choir Primary School school to help design an edible school garden - a garden that will provide fresh organic food every day for the children and enhance the sustainability of the school.
Morag and her children met the Choir when they performed in Maleny in July 2018 as part of the Ubuntu tour organised by Kwaya Australia. The Ubuntu Choir also visited Morag's award-winning permaculture garden at Crystal Waters Ecovillage.
A sustainable food garden at the African Children’s Choir school will also be a great demonstration for other schools in the region.

Morag Gamble is an award-winning international permaculture teacher, speaker, designer and practitioner.
She is the founder of the Permaculture Education Institute and Director of the registered charity, the Ethos Foundation.
Morag is based at a UN World Habitat Award winning permaculture village in Australia and has taught permaculture in more than 20 countries over the past 25 years.
She leads the Permaculture Educators Program – the first comprehensive combined online Permaculture Design Certificate and Permaculture Teacher Certificate.
Funding is needed to
  1. Set up the gardens
  2. Send a representative from The African Children's Choir Primary School to the East African Permaculture Design Certificate Course in Uganda this December.
